These are manufactured in the Far East, where Paulownia is a well-known native wood. We have selected this species because of its many unique properties:

Paulownia is:

• Lightweight - less than 2/3 rd of the weight of conventional hard woods.
• Very strong - has a very high strength to weight ratio.
• Eco Friendly - fast growing and sustainable.
• Attractive - has an appearance similar to Ash and stains well in a variety of colours to replicate Oak and Mahogany
• Stability - does not have a high moisture content so there is no shrinking, warping or splitting.
